1. Amazon goes to the movies. The tech giant is looking to acquire American movie chain Landmark Theatres which currently has 52 theatres and 252 screens in 27 markets.

3. Looks like Apple servers are not so secure after all. A high school kid from Australia hacked into Apple's mainframe to download 90GB of 'secure files'. The teenager is reportedly an "Apple Fan".

4. No, Google has no plans to launch a search engine for China. Dismissing earlier reports, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has clarified that the tech giant is not rolling out a customized version of Google in China.
